Slippin’ Into Darkness

Slippin’ Into Darkness is a phrase which resonates with me, not just because of a style of photography I like, but because the phrase can be applied to so many things in the world, now, and in the past. Somewhere I saw/heard the phrase “lights going out all over Europe,” with reference to the Nazi conquests and evils.

    Funny that you post this now; I’ve been feeling very much like I’m making a conscious shift into “autumn” mode, even though I know summer’s not quite done with us yet. It’s more than just packing away the tank tops and busting out the flannel blankets; it’s a state of mind for me, a kind of mental and emotional hunkering down in anticipation of the cold and dark that’s coming.
