Yes, but, see, what’s the worst thing that can happen to you if you don’t do what Beck tells you? He badmouths you on one of his shows? Oh, the horror! How will I sleep at night?
Now, what’s the worst thing that can happen to you if you don’t do what the government tells you to do? You could get fined. You could get audited. You could go to jail.
Get the point?
All Beck can do is spout off.
The government can pass laws.
Wee bit of a difference.
I assume there is some point you are trying to make, but I’m damned if I know what it is.
Perhaps I’m misinterperting what Chili is trying to say (that’s really what my response is in regards to).
I’m reading her as saying “Where does Beck get off telling people what they should do when all he does is whine about the government telling people what they should do?” I’m reading her as saying that in a sense Beck’s rally was hypocritical in that regard.
If I’ve misunderstood her (or you, for that matter), I apologize.
